Claire Tulloch is a graduate from the MA in Creative Writing at Nottingham Trent University and holds a Diploma in Writing for Children and Teenagers from the Institute of Children’s Literature in the US.  Having worked with children and written short stories for them in the States during the 1990s, Claire now lives in Nottingham with her family and works in the NHS.  This is her first novel which draws on her Irish background and John McGahern’s work.  Claire is now working on her second novel as an accompaniment to Drowned and is a member of the Writers Studio in Nottingham, working with local writers to develop their ideas.  Her genres are literary fiction, writing for children and Young Adult fiction.
